Description
This system was developed to allow joints as small as 1/8″. The DA-4000 offers the possibility of being manufactured in 2mm or 3mm thickness of aluminum. When manufactured in 2mm, the panel is completely folded from the same aluminum sheet. While the 3mm panel must be assembled with 2mm aluminum fasteners. Joint widths and system depth are variable, as long as the minimum depth is 1 1/8″.Normally, this system is used when you want long narrow panels installed vertically or horizontally. For example, panels of maximum ±24″ x 144″. Installation is by interlocking from left to right or from bottom to top and allows non-visible panel joints.
Having a reduced cost when using 2mm aluminum, this exterior cladding is generally used to cover large wall surfaces. This system can be an attractive option compared to a corrugated steel cladding, since aluminum is a durable product and it is possible to obtain a 20 to 30 year warranty on painted finishes. The DA-4000 is compatible with the FC-400 system of the FUTURA line.
